Microsoft-building-agile-ERP-GP2015With the launch of Microsoft Dynamics GP2015, Microsoft has produced a fabulous new release that offers them a foundation on which to build a truly agile ERP system. Business Analyser sees Financial Reporting going truly mobile; the Workflow engine promises to automate financial processes; Service Based Architecture opens up GP to integrations and there are over 120 additional new features in GP 2015.

This time Microsoft has not only launched a new product in GP2015 but also a new approach to developing and releasing the product. Unlike previous deliveries where customers had to wait months, sometime years for specific features, Microsoft are now asking customers to vote for the features they want the most. You can place your vote or suggestion at:

In Microsoft’s new approach, if features are minor or a “pebble” they will deploy it quickly. If it’s a larger job or a “rock”, it will be scheduled for a larger release but these will be more frequent.

This should see the momentum behind GP2015 escalate and the result should be a better product for all.
