Should You Buy an iPad? Should You Buy Something ElseWith Christmas only a short time away, there is little time to waste. You need to decide once and for all which tablet you could see yourself using for years and years before it’s too late. With the tech world awash in a sea of tablets, it may be hard to choose. You hear all of this talk about how amazing the iPad is and how it can do anything you throw at it, but there are also a slew of Android and Windows tablets that are fantastic as well.

So when it comes time to ask for a tablet this Christmas, which one should you choose? Let’s take a look at some of the top tablets on the market, and you can see which one you may want:

The iPad

Said to be the gold standard for all tablets to follow, the iPad is a fan favorite with quite a few people out there. And when I say quite a few, I mean millions upon millions of people on the entire earth.

It’s no secret that the iPad is a very good seller and that it’s one of the top tablets out there. The question is whether or not you can find better somewhere else for cheaper. Well, you probably can’t. Sure, you can get cheaper, but cheaper isn’t always a good thing.

If you’re a consumer, you’ll find that the app selection for iOS devices are the best. If you’re a business owner, you’ll also come to find that doing business on the road with an iPad POS system is something that is so awesome that you’ll wonder how you conducted business without it.

For $499, you can get a 16 GB version.

Nexus 10

This is the newest Google flagship tablet device, and boy is it amazing. This is perhaps the one true competitor to the iPad. Want to know why? How about a display that has more pixels per inch and a better resolution? How about the fact that its screen is easily the best on the market today for a tablet?

In addition, it also comes with top-end specs and an unaltered version of Android, which gets direct updates from the Google mother ship. It certainly is one quality device.

One reason why it’s competitive is because of the price. For $399, you get a 16 GB version.

Asus Transformer Pad Infinity

When discussing the top tablets on the market, the Transformer Pad Infinity often gets brought into the picture. One thing that sets it far apart from the competition is the ability to connect the tablet to a keyboard dock, which essentially “transforms” it into an ultrabook.

The keyboard dock comes with a full-size keyboard and its own battery, so you get pretty much double battery life here.

The specs are not quite as impressive as the aforementioned tablets, but it still stacks up well.

For $449, you can get the 32 GB version.

These are three of the top devices out there right now in the tablet market, and while I can’t make the decision for you, you’ll have a hard time picking one, because they’re all fantastic in their own way. Excited for Christmas yet? Me too!
